Inspired by antique oil lamps and candleholders, these table lamps play with light through reflection.

A LED light source is situated inside the porcelain pedestals and shine upwards, illuminating the reflector that shows a diffused glimmer of light.

Using reflection, a soft feeling is given to the rising technology of relatively sharp LED light.

Inspired by the amazing fabrics that can be produced with a circular knitting machine, the design of the Dining Chair was born. The airy appearance of the wire frame shows an elegant contrast to the modern padded cushion that is made together with the Audax textiel museum in Tilburg.

The trick lies in the composition of the yarn. Some of them shrink more than others when heated. Once the fabric comes out of the machine, a steam iron shrinks the desired locations to create a pattern.

Both the metal and fabric come in a variety of colours. Though the chairs look delicate, they are very durable and suitable for both indoor- and outdoor use.

Materials: powder coated steel, polyamide, nylon, marino wool, angora wool, elastane

DUTCH LIGHT
Dutch Light is a design for public spaces based on the beauty of light. This light, coming from the Morning Glory flowers
responds to the weather outside, making a connection between the exterior and interior. In this way, a seemingly lifeless
space receives a soul

The Morning Glory spin-off shown in the movie includes a rectangular window with 42 flowers attached to it. Each flower
contains 6 led’s. On the roof, sensors measure the light intensity outside. The higher the measurement, the lower the
intensity of the led’s. After sunset the led’s will be at their brightest, showing the geometric pattern
of the flowers.

When clouds fly over the building they give their reflection in the window by making the led’s go on and off creating an organic
pattern, the movement of the clouds.

At around 6 pm, when people leave the building, the flowers go to sleep. In this mode a quiet pulse resembles their heartbeat.

Materials: nylon, stainless steel, PMMA, maple wood

		<description>SIGN BRAINPORT AVENUE
The PCBoom is chosen to be the new sign for the industry of Brainport Avenue, a region that is home to many leading technology corporations. The interactive light object reflects the identity of the region. Signals from the brain that are sent to the world of high tech, refer to the image of electricityin a printed circuit board (PCB). The PCBoom shows this phenomenon with a light show. LED lights shoot out of the ground into the tubes like signals through our brain.

Winnend ontwerp nieuwe (standaard) plaatsaanduiding Brainport Avenue

A series stools inspired by the balloon and its playfulness with air. A big balloon with an air input is pulled tightly over the top of a wooden block, allowing air to go in and stay there.

The wood gives a contrast to the industrial material of the balloon that is a literal magnification of the archetype. When you sit down, the balloon embraces the body. By increasing the air you can change this experience.
